Guardian Names Betsy Reed to Run Its U.S. Newsroom

From a New York Times story by Benjamin Mullin headlined “Guardian names Betsy Reed, The Intercept’s top editor, to run its U.S. newsroom”:

Betsy Reed, the editor in chief of The Intercept, has been tapped to be the head editor of The Guardian’s U.S. newsroom, the British news organization said.

Ms. Reed has steered The Intercept, a newsroom that specializes in investigative journalism on topics including national security and criminal justice, since 2015. Before she joined The Intercept, Ms. Reed was executive editor of The Nation.

Katharine Viner, the editor in chief at Guardian News & Media, described Ms. Reed as “one of America’s foremost and experienced editors.”
