A Disabled Man Was Stuck in a Buffalo Snowbank—a Stranger Heard His Cry and Saved Him

From a Washington Post story by Sydney Page headlined “A disabled man was stuck in a Buffalo snowbank. A stranger heard his cry and saved him.”:

At 7:30 a.m. on Christmas Eve, Yvonne White got a call from an unknown number.

“Hi. You don’t know me, but I have your brother,” a shaky voice said.

It was Sha’Kyra Aughtry, a Buffalo resident, who had rescued White’s brother, Joey, amid the winter storm that began battering Western New York a few days prior.
