From a Washington Post column by Megan McArdle headlined “The weirdest thing about being in a self-driving car”
One day I finished up some shopping in Chandler, Ariz., a few towns over from a hotel where I was attending a conference. I had a few free hours and I wanted to grab some tacos at a nearby place that had been recommended to me. So I pulled out my phone, opened an app and hailed a ride.
This seems rather a dull story except for one thing: The car had no driver.
