After 31 days at DC’s Sibley Hospital, recovering from a broken hip and leg, it’s great to be back in the real world. Once again the morning can start with a cup of coffee and the Washington Post, New York Times, and Wall Street Journal—then checking the web for the latest news.
Hospital life was a reminder of how easy it is to take for granted life’s simple things—taking a shower to start the day, enjoying a good breakfast, taking the dog for a morning walk, doing whatever work brings meaning to your life. All that is gone when an ambulance takes you to the hospital.
It’s great to be back in the real world, and I hope to resume posting about the day’s best media stories.
