Good Advice for a Young Doctor—or Young Journalist

By Jack Limpert

Some years back a young doctor told me that before she went to medical school she met with a highly-regarded Washington physician who now runs one of the DC’s top hospitals. “What does it take to be a good doctor?” she asked him.

His answer: A sense of humility as to what you don’t know and a passion for lifelong learning.

Also good advice for young journalists.
